Hurne draws inspiration from architectural niches, half-domes, and arched openings, expressed through its semi-circular concrete form. The chain passes through a silver, arch-like passage at the top, giving the sense of a structure suspended from within an internal void.
The piece explores both presence and absence: while the concrete surface closes in one direction, the negative space within suggests continuation beyond what is seen. Hurne defines the origin and boundary of form through the emptiness it frames.
