The first stage of Merlon jewelry begins with the production of silver components. Cast in special molds, the silver does not come out in its final form. Each piece is carefully refined by hand through filing, ensuring precision in every detail. This is followed by a fine sanding process, which smooths the surface and prepares it for the concrete casting. Each silver piece becomes a flawless architectural frame, ready to meet the concrete in the next stage.

Into the prepared silver parts, Merlon’s unique concrete mixture is poured by hand with great care. At this stage, the consistency of the concrete is crucial; without the right balance, the surface cannot form as intended. Once poured, the concrete is left to cure under controlled conditions for 7 to 10 days. As it dries, it gains strength, after which the sanding process begins.

Through sanding, the natural stones embedded within the concrete emerge, revealing a terrazzo-like texture that gives each surface its distinctive vibrancy. The Merlon collection features four different concrete colors: Andesite, Diorite, Verdigris, and Savanna. Each color combines with a different stone, creating a unique surface.

In the final stage, each piece is carefully inspected once more, given its finishing touches, and cleaned with protective solutions for the silver. Every piece is entirely handcrafted. As the distribution of stones within the concrete naturally varies, visual differences between products are to be expected and embraced.
